Extrapool heet iedereen een warm welkom om samen de laatste wintermaanden door te komen tijdens ons programma Some fire to melt these icy icy new beginnings. We luiden het nieuwe jaar in met de collectieven E.A.T., the Moraine en K.C ⇄ Q, die we hebben uitgenodigd hun proces met ons te delen. Van januari tot maart programmeert Extrapool drie weekenden gevuld met Onderstuur concerten, workshops, filmvertoningen en experimenteel nieuw werk.
Edible Actions Together (E.A.T.)
Een uiensoep gezout met eigen tranen, 125 manieren om een ei te bereiden en heerlijke prints om je vingers bij op te eten. In het verre noorden verzamelt E.A.T Collective zich regelmatig om eetbare experimenten aan te gaan en te delen met elkaar en het publiek. Georganiseerd rondom het onderzoeken, uitvoeren en delen van voedingsrituelen, eetgewoontes, experimentele diners en performatieve proeverijen bezit het collectief een schat aan kennis en ervaringen vanuit verschillende culturele achtergronden en een multidisciplinaire samenstelling.
In maart zal deze groep kunstenaars, koks, illustratoren, studenten en enthousiastelingen afreizen naar Nijmegen om een week lang samen te werken en te leven in het Extrapool hoofdkwartier. Voor het Extrapool weekend nodigen ze het publiek uit om hier onderdeel van te worden en het proces te delen.

Extrapool welcomes everyone warmly back into our space to get through the last winter months together. To start off the new year, we’ve invited the collectives E.A.T, the Moraine and K.C ⇄ Q to share their explorations with us. From January till March, Extrapool will programme three weekends filled with Onderstuur concerts, workshops, film screenings and experimental new work.
Edible Actions Together (E.A.T.)
An onion soup salted with their own tears, 125 ways to cook an egg and finger-licking good prints. In the far far north, E.A.T Collective gathers regularly to explore edible experiments and share them with each other and the public. Organized around exploring, performing and sharing food rituals, eating habits, experimental dinners and performative tastings; the collective possesses a wealth of knowledge from different cultural backgrounds and disciplines.
In March, this group of artists, chefs, illustrators, students and enthusiasts will travel to Nijmegen to work and live together for a week at the Extrapool headquarters. For the Extrapool weekend in March, they invite the public to become part of their process and share in the experiments.
