Tomo Katsurada

“Dream of the Egg” is the debut solo album by Tomo Katsurada known for his work with the Japanese psychedelic band Kikagaku Moyo. This project is a unique fusion of music and visual art, inspired by the Japanese 1920s children’s book “Yume No Tamago” (Dream of the Egg). The release combines riso printing, screen printing, a flexi disc, two vinyl 7inches and block printed artwork by Shoko Otake.

Tomo will play his solo album live with a newly formed ensemble. Including Jonny Nash on guitar. Together they created a set of psychedelic folk music that allows for heavy daydreaming and phantastical visions. Their current tour is the first time you can catch them live in Europe with this work.

Eric Kinny

“Happy Fuji News” is a live-edited movie made out of 200 woodblock prints, written, carved and printed by Eric Kinny over the course of 2016-2022. With an equally comedic and dramatic approach, “Happy Fuji News” is a surrealistic dive into the world of tourism, apps, geology (and more..) done in a joyously performed proto-cinematic way. “Happy Fuji News” has played all over the world and will now for the first time be shown in Nijmegen.

This ‘movie’ adopts the Japanese street theatre format of Kamishibai and  is performed live by musician and visual artist Eric Kinny. Eric lives in Brussels, he runs the label Santé Loisirs since 2014 and now distributes rare LPs of Country & Western music from the 1930s-50s,
